# How to use Gift the Chat during a LIVE

Gift the Chat lets you purchase store vouchers for other people during a seller’s LIVE. Each voucher is shop-exclusive credit that recipients can use with the seller hosting that LIVE.

### Send a gift

1. While watching a LIVE, tap **Shop** then select **Gift the chat**.
2. Choose Specific recipients or Open claim.
3. Select the **Gift value** each recipient will receive.
4. Tap **Continue to review**.
5. On Review purchase, confirm the quantity, subtotal, total, and Payment information.
6. Tap **Pay & send gift**.

#### If you choose Specific recipients

* Tap Add recipients and search for the people you want to gift.
* You can select people in the chat or among your mutual followers.
* Each selected person receives the Gift value you chose.

#### If you choose Open claim

* Set the Number of recipients who can receive the gift.
* Only people currently watching the LIVE can claim it.
* Vouchers are claimed first come, first served until none remain.

### What happens after you send a gift

Once your payment is complete, your gifting activity appears publicly in the LIVE.

* For **Specific recipients**, the people you selected receive their store vouchers directly.
* For **Open claim**, viewers currently watching the LIVE see a **Store Voucher** widget and can tap **Claim** while vouchers are available.

### Use a store voucher

* Recipients can view their store vouchers under **Profile → Settings → My Credit → Store Voucher**.
* A store voucher can only be used in the shop of the seller featured in the LIVE where it was sent.
* At checkout, Palmstreet applies the available store voucher balance to the eligible order amount.
* If the voucher does not cover the full eligible amount, pay the remaining balance with another payment method.
* Shipping, taxes, and fees are shown separately at checkout.

### Important information

Store voucher purchases are non-refundable. For Open claim gifts, any voucher value that remains unclaimed is added to your voucher wallet.
