Mystery Box Policy

Overview

  • Mystery Boxes are listings where buyers purchase slots that are randomly allocated to items in a predefined pool.

  • Each paid slot corresponds to exactly one item. There are no “empty prizes.”

  • Allocation is performed by Palmstreet’s system to ensure fairness and auditability.

What buyers see

  • Theme and overview of the item pool.

  • Value bands for items (for example: Low, Mid, High). These communicate distribution only, not prices.

  • Optional visual “Hot Item” tags for select items. Hot Items are for excitement only and does not imply price or guaranteed rarity.

How allocation works

  • The platform generates a random sequence and assigns items to slots when sales conditions are met.

  • Sellers cannot influence results after selling begins.

  • Allocation occurs only for successfully paid slots.

  • Results are revealed in-app. If a payment completes late (after the next round has started), the system still assigns an item fairly and posts a confirmation in chat. The buyer can also view the result in Order Details.

Slots, pricing, and auctions

  • Each slot equals one item from the pool.

  • Slots may be sold only via by auction.

  • If a winning auction bidder does not complete payment, the slot is forfeited and may be relisted.

Seller responsibilities

  • Accurately configure the pool: item names and quantities are required. Images and condition notes are recommended.

  • All available prizes must be kept on screen during the liveshow.

  • Ensure total slot count equals total item quantity.

  • Use value bands and optional Hot Item tags responsibly.

  • Ship the exact item assigned by the system and follow standard shipping timelines and proof‑of‑shipment requirements.

  • Sellers must display floor, average, & ceiling values in the Show Notes for items in a Mystery Box.

Prohibited practices

  • Any “no‑win” outcomes or structures that could be construed as gambling - anyone who pays to play must win.

  • Manual result assignment, reshuffling outcomes, or changing the pool during sales.

  • Misleading claims about odds, rarity, or value (values in particular must be accurately displayed)

  • Use of the following gambling-related language in live posts, show notes or listings:

    • Prize(s)

    • Roulette

    • Lucky draw

    • Raffle

    • Casino or Vegas-style

    • Odds

    • Bet/Wager

    • Jackpot

Refunds, cancellations, and disputes

  • Standard Palmstreet order, refund, and dispute policies apply.

  • Failed or unpaid orders are not valid entries and will be forfeit.

  • If a pool cannot be fulfilled as configured, Palmstreet may cancel affected orders and issue refunds. Non‑compliance can lead to account or feature restrictions.

Data, integrity, and audits

  • Randomization seed and allocation logs are retained to support fairness reviews and investigations.

  • Palmstreet monitors for abuse and policy violations and may take corrective action as needed.
