#### FAQs

**Q: What permissions are granted to Palmstreet when connecting YouTube or Facebook accounts?**

To support multistreaming, Palmstreet requests a limited set of permissions from connected YouTube and Facebook accounts. These permissions are strictly limited to what is necessary for livestream setup and audience engagement:

* **Create live broadcasts** – Enables initiating livestreams directly through Palmstreet.
* **Read live comments** – Allows real-time access to viewer comments across connected platforms for unified interaction.
* **Access basic channel or page information** – Ensures the livestream is linked to the appropriate account.

**Palmstreet does not:**

* Edit or delete existing videos, posts, comments, or captions.
* Modify channel or page metadata, ratings, or follower information.
* Post any content on behalf of the user outside of the livestream environment.

All content outside of the livestream remains unaffected. Access is read-only where applicable and is used exclusively for managing Palmstreet multistream broadcasts.

  ‌‍‎‏

**Q: Can I multistream to YouTube or Facebook after I’ve already scheduled a live show?**

No — multistreaming can only be set up at the time you schedule your LIVE show.\
Once a LIVE show has been created, there is currently no option to go back and edit or connect platforms afterward. Be sure to enable multistreaming during the initial setup process.

  ‌‍‎‏

**Q: I see the message “The user is not enabled for live streaming.” What does it mean?**

This message typically indicates that your Facebook or YouTube account has not yet been enabled for live streaming.\
Each platform has its own eligibility requirements that must be met before live streaming is allowed. Please review the criteria below:

**Facebook Live Requirements**

* A Facebook account that is at least **60 days old**.
* A Page or Profile with a minimum of **100 followers**.
* The latest version of the app for mobile streaming or compatible streaming software for desktop streaming (check [requirements for Facebook live videos](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/162540111070395)).
* Have admin, editor, or live contributor access to the Page (if streaming from a Page)

**YouTube Live Requirements**

* At least **50 subscribers** are required to live stream on mobile.
* No live streaming restrictions in the past **90 days**.
* Get YouTube channel verified (check how to [verify YouTube channel](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171664)).
* To turn on live streaming, you may need to wait 24 hours before you can start your first live stream.

**Q: Do I need to start a livestream separately on Facebook or schedule it in advance?**

No additional setup is required on Facebook. Once the Facebook account is authorized and multistreaming is enabled in the Palmstreet show setup, the livestream will automatically begin broadcasting to Facebook when the show starts on Palmstreet. There is no need to schedule or manually start a separate livestream on Facebook.
