Livestream Attendance & Seller Engagement Policy
1. Purpose
This policy establishes guidelines for livestream sellers to ensure a consistent, reliable, and professional experience for audiences. It clarifies when passive livestreams (such as purge-style sales) are permitted, and sets standards for seller presence and communication during live events.
2. Seller Presence in Active Livestreams
An active livestream, where the sellers are actively engaging with their audience, is the most effective way to build community and generate sales.
Sellers hosting an active livestream are expected to remain present and engaged throughout the session.
Sellers may briefly step away but must:
Inform the audience (verbally or via pinned comment/note) before leaving.
Keep absences under 5 minutes unless absolutely necessary.
Sellers may not:
Leave without notice or explanation.
Allow the stream to continue unattended for more than 5 consecutive minutes.
Disappear for extended periods with only a note left for viewers, as this diminishes trust and engagement.
3. Passive Selling (Purge-Style Livestreams)
Sellers are permitted to run passive livestreams where items are displayed for purchase without active verbal engagement.
These streams must remain clearly labeled as passive so that buyers know what to expect (e.g., “Silent Live Sale”, or “Passive ASMR Live”).
Sellers must still monitor chat periodically for questions or transactions, even if they are not actively speaking.
4. Enforcement
Streams found in violation (e.g., unattended for longer than 5 minutes without notice) may be terminated.
Repeated violations may result in temporary suspension of livestream privileges.
5. Exceptions
Emergencies or technical difficulties will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Sellers should communicate with platform moderators as soon as possible if such situations occur.
